Top Native Plants for the Mid-Atlantic Region
Visually pleasing and inspiring plants don’t always have to be exotic and hard to source. Holly Shimizu will discuss superior plants that are native to this region, as well as how to raise the demand and use of these plants to better your business. Enjoy this presentation packed full of visual examples of what and how these, sometimes under used or little known, plants can do for designs and installations. These plants are often less maintenance and have the advantage of attracting pollinators and birds to make gardens even more interesting.
The Presenter:
Holly H. Shimizu is a nationally recognized horticulturist, consultant, and educator. With a rich background in all aspects of public gardens, extensive experience leading garden tours and workshops, and a proven commitment to plant conservation and sustainability, she has been making plants and gardens more accessible and exciting to both professionals and amateurs for over four decades.
