Getting Over the Hiring Horror
Industry Panel on Hiring and Recruiting
With the demand for workers higher than ever and the workforce pool drying up, where can you focus hiring efforts that you might not have tried in the past? H2B is no longer a viable resource, and many college horticulture programs are not providing an adequate number of students or enough entry level workers. The panel will help you get over any fear of hiring at-risk youth, veterans, inner city teens, out of industry students, and more. You will be able to combine successful tools and tips from our panelists with additional resources and programs to ramp up your hiring efforts quickly and build for the future.
The Panelists:
Andreas Grothe, American Landscape Institute
Vickie Taylor, Arlington Employment Center
David Howard, Home Builders Institute
Brandon Butler, Maryland Division of Labor and Industry
Paul Mendelsohn, National Association of Landscape Professionals
Jaimie Francis, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Center for Education and Workforce
