Action alert for Gaithersburg

The City of Gaithersburg is considering adopting the ban on lawn care products that passed in Montgomery County last year. We all know the implications if Gaithersburg follows the County’s lead.
Your voice played a role in our efforts to prevent the County’s ban and we need your help again
Join us Monday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. and tell City officials this is a bad idea. Gaithersburg does not need a pesticide ban. Click here and let us know you plan to attend.
The Gaithersburg City Council will be briefed on this issue Monday evening. Although City’s staff will recommend against adopting the County’s pesticide law, some of the Council members may still push for a ban.
We need community members to attend and support the staff recommendation to adopt a reasonable approach. Members of our coalition will be at the hearing to speak during the public comment period and support the staff’s reasonable approach to this issue. Can we count on you to attend?

Right now the County’s law has no impact within the Gaithersburg city limits. We need you there on Monday to make sure it stays that way.
