As a landscape contractor, we were thrilled that our client asked us to rebuild an outdated deck we built 25 years ago. Although the client enjoyed the old deck, they said it was time to take advantage of all the new quality building materials available. The client’s financial situation had also improved, so they were now capable of building the deck/loggia they had always dreamed about. Our scope of work was to demolish the existing deck and build a new luxury outdoor living space that included a screened porch and uncovered mahogany deck.

A builder-grade raised patio, pool, and pool deck did not meet the needs of the new homeowner. They asked our team to construct a new larger, raised stone patio that functioned as a loggia. The new loggia featured an acrylic spa, stone grill counter, and ceramic water feature. The precision craftsmanship of our masons and carpenters is evident throughout the project.

This craftsmanship award entry showcases the talent of our carpenters and masons. The plantings were installed by the homeowner and were not included in our scope of work. We were asked to demolish the existing, outdated pressure-treated deck and replace it with a new, larger mahogany deck and outdoor living space that features an outdoor stove fireplace and chimney. The new deck and fireplace are a seamless addition to this colonial-style, stately home.

The homeowner wanted to add a new entryway, mud room, and garage onto a traditional colonial house. We created seamless transition between the mud room and garage in a more interesting, craftsman style. Our masons created a custom blend of stone for this application. The entryway cascades down beautiful stone masonry stairs, boulder stairs, and terraced retaining walls, past a trickling, peaceful water feature, to a newly created level lawn area. Nestled in the woods to the left is a naturalistic stone fire pit and irregular shaped flagstone patio with planted joints. The end result is a peaceful oasis in the woods, that clearly showcases the talent of our masons and landscape technicians.
