The Heights School

Our company has provided year-round comprehensive maintenance services for over 13 years to The Heights School, 20-acre private boys’ school in Potomac, Maryland. The maintenance scope includes not only the typical turf management, ornamental plant care, and annual flower planting, but also water retention pond maintenance, hardscape maintenance and repair, play area policing, and reforestation/forest conservation area compliance. The sloping topography, stands of mature hardwood trees, and thoughtfully planned landscaping all creates a truly unique natural setting that is an integral part of the school’s culture of instilling a deep appreciation of natural history into its students.

High Security Office Building

We were hired to upgrade this property to the standards of its new property manager, and to prepare it for ultimately attaining LEED certified status. This includes compliance with high-security and safety requirements of the government contractor tenant. Since early 2014, we have replaced plants and materials with more sustainable, drought-tolerant, and native species. Approximately 8,000 square feet of seasonal color beds were cultivated and enhanced with hundreds of yards of organic materials, and unsightly aggregate walkways on both sides of the pedestrian entrance and motor court have been replaced with interlocking concrete pavers to improve utility and enhance aesthetics.
